Sure Power: Putting the Pieces Together for You

In this six-part series, we provide an overview of each of the ‘pieces’ of a project executed by Sure Power. There are many ways to approach a project; our tried and true methods, backed with 27 years of experience in the industry, prove that while anyone can claim excellence, Sure Power consistently delivers day in and day out.

This week, we will show you the “whole pie” and provide more details for each piece as the series progresses.

Design – All projects begin with a site survey from a qualified engineer and project manager. This step is crucial to determine racking, battery and UPS sizing. This stage also allows us to review our Method of Procedure (MOP) as well as prepare for any logistical concerns that could arise upon installation. You don’t want any surprises and neither do we!

After a site review, drawings and calculations are developed as we work with you to determine the specifications of the project.

Product Selection – As a leading distributor for all manufacturers of quality battery products, racking and other equipment, we will help you to select the best products for your project.

We stock all major manufacturers of valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) batteries , including but not limited to: EnerSys, C&D Technologies, BAE and DEKA.

Our Sales Engineers / Project Managers will provide you with choices based on your existing or new footprint, application budget and timeline. No matter your industry – telecommunications, UPS, utility, switchgear and control, cable, broadband, and solar markets – we will provide you with the best solution.

Project Management – The same team will work on your project from start to finish. Your dedicated project manager(s) oversee all elements of staging, logistics, installation and follow up.

Installation – Our team of installation technicians is trained to meet our rigorous quality standards. All installations meet IEEE standards and manufacturer specifications/installation guidelines. We will work with you to determine logistics for your battery installation and ensure that all of your needs are met.

Beyond – Our battery maintenance programs and periodic load testing will maximize the lifetime of the system and identify potential issues to prevent unexpected downtime. Battery systems are large investments; with the proper maintenance and guidance Sure Power provides, we do our best to extend the life of those batteries to make sure they are operating within the correct guidelines and maintained properly to extend the service life for the customer.

Additionally, Sure Power also provides deinstallation services including removal, recycling and disposal of batteries and other power equipment. A Certificate of Reclamation is always provided to the customer.

Join us next week as we take a deeper dive into Design with interviews from Dave Mortimer, Sr. Engineer & Project Manager and Butch Bowen, Project Manager.
